Fifty Senior High Schools across the ten county area of PIAA District Six, were eligible for $2,000.00 in scholarship awards, through the Sportsmanship: Let it Begin With Me! Program. This program recognizes two senior students, (one female, one male,) from each of the fifty senior high schools that exemplify leadership in sportsmanship. Each school established a selection process and was asked to submit two names for recognition. Those selected students will receive a sportsmanship medallion during individual award programs, as each school may choose. In addition to the medallion, four names were drawn from a lottery and each of the selected students will receive a $500.00 gift certificate in recognition of their accomplishments in the area of good sportsmanship.
Congratulations to the recipients of the sportsmanship awards!
